This year the Breitling Jet Team will make their Waddington debut and their first appearance in the UK. This great team, with an international reputation, is not to be missed. Flying the L-39 Albatros in a vivid blue and gold livery they are a wonderful photographic opportunity. Don’t miss this rare chance of seeing one of only a few civilian jet display teams.

About rafwaddingtonairshow
Held annually over the first weekend of July at Royal Air Force Waddington, Lincoln, the RAF Waddington International Air Show is the largest of all RAF air shows, regularly attended by over 140,000 visitors. Since its inaugural year 1995, the Air Show has grown in size and popularity; the show offers a truly unforgettable day's entertainment for families and corporate guests alike.
The main purpose of the event is to increase public awareness and understanding of the RAF and its role today. All proceeds from the Air Show are donated to RAF and local charities each year. The spectacular 7-hour flying display features the fabulous Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the RAF Falcons freefall parachute team and many more military and civilian aircraft from the UK; it is also heavily supported by military forces from around the world. Ground displays include 2 exhibition hangars, funfair, classic cars display, pleasure flying and much more!
your displays are great and hope u keep going through the years to come
Posted by kiefer | May 11, 2009, 8:07 am40 days to go and the military flying is still disappointing.
Typhoon the only single fast jet? I mean come on! Not even a Harrier or Tornado?
Not asking for RIAT but surely the RAF premier base show can do better than a Typhoon and some military issue airliners….
Posted by Tony Greenfield | May 19, 2009, 7:53 pmtotally agree with you there. come on, what is going on. the rafale is at Yeovilton,RIAT and possibly Biggin Hill and the gripen is at RIAT , not forgeting the number of F16s doing various shows like Sunderland, Yeovilton and Leuchars. Come on Wadd pull a suprise or two out of the bag. PLEASE

it seems a shame that the harrier won’t be on show this year. of course, Afghanistan has to take priority, but surely one of the squadrons on home rotation could do a role demonstration?
and the Tornados last year were fantastic, that would be a great display any year.
Posted by Chris Rigby | July 2, 2009, 9:56 pmMy daughter is very happy watching from a flat roof between Newark and Hykeham Road.
Only disappointment, is she now wants a Breitling Dispaly Team Cap, and we are not there to collect.
Great display what ever others say.
Posted by R and F Ellis | July 4, 2009, 3:55 pmGood luck with the show but regret that I shall have to miss it this year but I read in a blog that their is going to be quite a todo with a BoB enactment that perhaps Lyons Gate or other cinematogs could pull something together for that show for those of us who are not as young or agile as we once were but still might purchase a video or DVD of the shows exhibits and highlights!!! Never have so many owed so much to so few! (BoB) Please keep me posted for dates of oncoming airshows for I do so want to hop over for one with in the next few years, almighty willing.
